Hello! I am a recent graduate from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Cognitive Science w/ specialization in Human Computer Interaction and a B.A. in Psychology. During my four years of college, I have found my passion for human-centered design to improve experiences in people's daily life.
Having an academic background in both HCI and Psychology, I am better able to understand and apply what users want, and truly need, to build and design enjoyable interactions with products to avoid unnecessary stress.
About Me
Currently, I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am lucky to say I have traveled to over 30 countries, including working in France and volunteering in Bolivia.
I have an adaptive, open mindset, and a desire to learn and create. Furthermore, I am a strong believer of empathy and advocacy for the people and communities interacting with product designs. I truly love creating beautiful things, whether it be drawing, crafts, interior design, or graphic! However, I especially enjoy creating intuitive and alluring user experiences and interfaces.
Why Design and Interaction?
Simply put, I grew up in the heart of the Silicon Valley, doodled everywhere, and could not stop asking, "but why?" ... In other words, I've always loved art and design, was surrounded by the latest and greatest technology, and had an insatiable curiosity for how the world worked.
I truly put the pieces together once arriving at UCSD, and began my journey towards a formal degree in both Human Computer Interaction and Psychology. I began to understand how impactful design elements could have towards communication, safety, and just every day life.
My mission is to maximize enjoyment and minimizing stress, by providing people a simple, yet creative interaction experience. I value my time spent doing things I love and with people important to me; and so I want to my work to allow and advance the possibility of doing so for others. The impact of my work would give users the tools they want and need to not only enjoy but discover things important to them.
